Recently a friend of mine, let’s call him X, told me he has a blog and I asked to see it. Unfortunately, he said it is too early and he wants some more time to make sure the blog is actually worth it. I couldn’t understand why he’s making such big of a deal of it but I didn’t say a word. Today I finally received the link I’ve waited for the last few weeks and I was truly amazed! I saw my friend in a completely different light. For the first time he actually said what’s on his mind, soul, dreams… X stopped thinking about what the people would think of him, how they would react and how would this affect his image. I started thinking I didn’t really know him until today…or at least from now on I’ll see in him someone that knows what he wants and is not afraid to go for it, someone who realizes what he has lost and does the best to take it back.

All this made me realize that we all need to find a way to say what we think, want, feel. No matter if it is a friend, a complete stranger or a blog. We need to share, even if we don’t realize it ,because otherwise the point of living in a community will be lost, the point of being humans will be lost. We are who we are and we should stand up for that.
